Our Story of Faith

In a divine moment that would alter the course of his life, Pastor Ayo Ajani, then a medical student at the University of Lagos, received a heavenly calling. God's voice was unmistakable, directing him to birth a spiritual haven: Petra Christian Centre. The vision materialized into reality with a soul-stirring New Year's Eve service in Ikeja, Lagos.

Yet, the journey was far from over. In December 2017, another supernatural prompting reached Pastor Ayo. God was calling him to expand his spiritual territory, beckoning him to the capital city of Abuja. Demonstrating unwavering faith, Pastor Ayo and his wife, Pastor Adeola, co-pilots of this divine mission, made the move to Abuja. The echoes of worship filled the air for the first time in Abuja on March 4th, 2018.

Since that auspicious beginning, what started as a modest gathering has burgeoned into a global spiritual community. Petra Christian Centre now thrives with hundreds of thousands of members across the world, committed to creating and nurturing Jesus-centered communities on a global scale.
